2014 was a very interesting year for me. I had many experiences this year – ALL about growth, not always fun but reflecting back ooooh so worth it!!. If we are not stretching ourselves and growing / expanding then decay, death, aging, limitation set in. Some were hard, a few even painful lessons but many more lessons and experiences were amazing. I had to let some people go in my life and guess what? New, more healthy, conscious people came into my life to help me further on my path that I strayed from and because of that even more amazing things have been happening.
As the last few hours of 2014 are upon us – take some time to reflect over the past year and set clear intentions on what you would like to experience, create, feel, allow in in 2015 – YOU are the creator of your life – live it to the fullest in ALL areas!!
May Love, Health, Happiness and Abundance be in your world today and always!!!
A little late – my mistake I had something happen to my Aweber account and my posts did not go out. I had an amazing Christmas day – keeping it low key and with special people. Had a great walk on the Sea wall in Stanley Park since it was kind of sunny and nice for a day in December – many other people had the same idea.
My wish is for you to have some amazing times during the holidays – reach out to people you may not know or are having a difficult time – we are not separate – we are one and I know for myself I have so much to be thankful for. Enjoy the moment, laugh often, see the beauty – (as I breathed it in yesterday walking along the ocean), have an attitude of gratitude and let the stress go – breath – it is all perfect – remember the KISS method – Keep It Simple Sweetie!!
The next week will be busy for some of us and for me and many others we are already preparing ourselves, minds, bodies for an amazing 2015.
Sometimes the holidays can tempt us, push us over or strengthen us. I hope this helps you find a little more strength or determination not to go over board during the holidays so that come January it’s a breeze!!
It seems like we go overboard in many areas during the holidays and it doesn’t have to be that all or nothing thing.
Have fun as we get closer to the start of another year which is going to be amazing!!
My mom used to make this Chocolate treat at Christmas time that I and almost everyone who tries them, loved them. I couldn’t find a replacement for all the ingredients as they weren’t the healthiest treat 🙂 but came close to it with this recipe for raw Chocolate Clusters allowing to have a sweet treat yet still healthy eating. Another treat that you can’t tell is raw and still healthy – as it’s yummy!!
– 1 cup Raw Cacao Paste – melted in a double boiler over low heat
– 1 tbsp Coconut oil
– 3 tbsp raw Honey or Agave
Mix together until melted – not too high temp – very low. Once melted (stirring occasionally) then stir in
– 1 cup chopped or slivered raw (or pieces) Almonds
– 1 cup raw Pumpkin seeds
– 3 tbsp Hemp Hearts
– 1 tbsp Maca (Superfood – optional)
– 1 tbsp Spirulina (optional – these Superfoods are optional but you can’t taste them and it just adds more nutritional value to a sweet treat – what better way to get more nutrient dense food into your body)
Raw Chocolate Clusters
Stir until well coated. Then pour into a glass rectangle dish or drop by spoonful onto wax paper and let cool.
Best place to store is in fridge to keep solid and fresh (sometimes it may soften when kept out at room temp)
This recipe almost tastes like shortbread but it’s totally raw! When you can create treats like this at Christmas time – you won’t miss the traditional cookies and snacks that are loaded with sugar!!! I love shortbread cookies but really try not to eat them – now I can and so can You!!!
– 2 cups Almond Flour – throw the almonds in to the Vitamix in the flour container and blend until a fine powder – I did leave the skins on – you can remove them if you choose.
– 1/4 cup Coconut Oil
– 1 tbsp raw Honey
– 1 tsp Maca (Superfood – optional)
Blend all ingredients together. It will almost look like thicker Almond butter
Place on wax paper and roll into a log like shape, wrap in the wax paper and store in fridge for 12 – 24 hours.
Take out and slice wedges – serve immediately otherwise they will soften for sure!!.

This is the third 10 Day Transformation Cleanse I have done this year – I keep doing them due to the results I am getting – it just keeps getting better!!
The biggest side benefit is weight loss but that is not my main reason for doing this. It really is to detox and cleanse AND feed my body at a deep level.
Each day between what we eat, our emotions, the air we breath we in take various toxins.
This cleanse also allowed me to really look at when and how much I was eating – as I keep saying there is a BIG difference between eating and feeding the body. I realize how much I had been eating and really eating too much. When I really am feeding the body, I eat less food – I paid attention to when I was actually hungry or when I was craving something to see exactly if it was a real hunger or a habit. I also slowed down my eating so I could chew and enjoy my food instead of gulping it down, eating on the run or sitting in front of my computer.
It is also making me realize how important it is staying away from GMO foods – I can feel the difference.
But the increase in my energy levels – haven’t felt this good in a long time!!
Could your health, body or energy use a little improving??
What I like about this is it is easier to keep eating healthier – if each year you make a New Years Resolution to eat healthier, lose weight or get into better shape – then I highly recommend you having a look at the Purium lifestyle – only if you are serious about creating a healthier lifestyle and NEVER having to make those New Years Resolutions again!!
Raw, Live, Organic, NON-Gmo and now 17 products even Kosher!!!
Here’s to living a great, healthy lifestyle.
Hope to see you on the journey!!
Thanks for taking the time and please feel free to share this!!

This is one of two recipes I created – this one being easy, quick yet tasty – you wouldn’t know it’s raw!. Again this recipe is a raw recipe so a great snack for kids or serve at your Christmas party / dinner – people won’t know! Always use Raw nuts when preparing raw foods – they still have the nutritional value you are wanting in live foods.
– 2 cups Hazlenuts – ground to a powder (throw in your Vitamix flour container to do so, if you don’t have a Vitamix, your blender or even a coffee bean grinder will do but do so in small batches)
– 11/2 cups Madjool Dates (pits removed)
– 1 tsp Vanilla
– pinch Himalayan Sea Salt
– 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
– 1/2 tsp Maca
1/2 tsp Cacao (optional – if you want more of a chocolatey flavor)
Once the Hazelnuts are ground into a flour, throw all ingredients into a processor and process until well mixed and when you take a little bit and roll into a little ball it does so easily – not falling apart or is too sticky.
At this point you can also roll the balls into Cacao or Coconut, a mixture of both or nothing!!
As you can see in the photo I did several varieties!
Enjoy and please feel free to leave a comment or share!
I’ve been asked a few times over the last several days ‘Why do a cleanse in December like before the holidays?’ And my reply is ‘Why not?’ I think and now I know from how I am feeling – what a great time to do a cleanse!! Yes it’s cold, yes holidays are coming, yes it’s a busy time – but really believe it or not those make good reasons!!
It’s cold – lots of warming spices, herbal teas, coconut oil to help ease that. Plus it makes one go within a little and also become more aware of when one is eating – you know that grabbing for food even though we really aren’t hungry – what is it you are really hungry for?? Or is it boredom??
Yes the holidays are coming – for my American friends many just had some holidays, so what a great way to get back on the healthy eating or not to swing too far over in the area of over indulgence or unhealthy eating!
Yes it can be a busy time, but it also allows for one to begin to focus on what is really important – like being totally present and deciding what really needs to be done or could be let go of.
I just wanted to share my first few days of the 10 Day Transformational Cleanse with Purium. We will be doing another one after the holidays – why not come and join 100’s of us as we create and transition into healthier eating patterns, more awareness and awesome support. It’s unlike anything you have probably ever experienced before – trust me. I have done many cleanses over the years and I never got results like I did with this one!!
Speaking of support – check out our Daily Support Calls right now (even Sat and Sun Dec 6 & 7) and all next week @ 5:30 PST with the founder and author himself David Sandoval – (712) 432-1917 pi code 92126#

Have an awesome day and thanks for taking the time!
Now that we are in December and with Christmas right around the corner, I thought this short video would be appropriate in explaining what sugar does to us!
I know all the bake goods that come out as I did that for many years – but slowly I started changing that as come January – with the extra weight, or sluggishness it wasn’t worth it to me. Don’t get me wrong – I still love the odd shortbread 🙂 but knowing what’s in it and what it does to my body isn’t a good enough pay off to eat them really for me.
Sugar really brings NO nutritional value to the body and steals from the body at the same time. Sugar really is an addiction.
I’m sharing this video with you today so maybe December will be easier with the plates full of baked goods AND I will be posting several healthy alternative, easy yet tasty raw / vegan deserts coming up – I promise you won’t be disappointed or feel like you are missing out on anything with these treats!!
There is a lot of debate surrounding this subject. Some people say that you should go 100%. Others disagree. There are those who say that the only way to get the best from raw food is if you take nothing else but it. Other people say that a diverse diet composed of 50% to 70% raw food will do just fine.
Many things are open to debate in the raw food world. Take cacao for example, some people advocate its use and say that it is the answer to your chocolate cravings. Then again, there are those who say it’s toxic and that it’s better to stay away from it.
Whether you take cacao or not depends on your own decision and whom you listen to. The same thing goes for how little or how much your diet is composed of raw food.
I personally believe that there are no rules to what percentage of raw food you should be taking. However, if there is anything you should be listening to, it’s your body. We are all different, we are all unique and there is NO one perfect way for everyone.
If your body is telling you that it can take more and that you can benefit from increasing your raw food intake, then go ahead. There are people who do well with 100% raw food diet. They see a great deal of improvement in their health from doing so. Many see it as a lifestyle, one that they cannot live without. It has become who they are and they cannot see anything other than taking it 100%. AND chances are they live somewhere warm to hot and it’s easy to get fresh, raw (and probably totally organic) foods and its easier on the body when and where one is as far as warm weather is concerned!
On the other hand, some people benefit better from having a more diverse diet. It could be because their bodies cannot cope with some of the constraints of an all-raw food diet plan. Time and accessibility may also be an issue.
If you are new to raw food and if you are wondering how much of it you should take, it is advised that you should only take the amounts that you are comfortable with. You can start with just a meal or two a day for a few days a week, or start the day with a green smoothie or substituting salads instead of fries. Some people need to ease into more- make little changes daily and build on it – don’t overwhelm yourself.
This is NOT a diet and should not appear to be restrictive – this IS a lifestyle – and one that will take you more in alignment with total health.
Be sure to listen to how your body is reacting to your new diet. Take your energy levels into consideration. Figure out if you are getting a boost in your energy or if its making you feel bogged down.
Over time, your body will change and adjust. Soon, you may be able to live with a diet of up to 80% raw food. You may even be able to accommodate 100% on days.
The more clean foods you eat – even whole foods and or superfoods – the less dead, processed foods you will and your body will actually want or crave.
It’s better to have more real, natural food in your way of eating than not! That is always the best choice over man made, processed, synthetic or chemical filled so called ‘food’s. Think about that for a minute – what we now call food that was not around 20, 30 or 50 years ago
And now we have way more health problems…….it’s not rocket science!
Here’s a thought that may help you in choosing food – if it comes from a field, farm or forest choose it (with some exceptions of course like some mushrooms) and if it comes from a factory – stay away!!
Adjust your raw food intake based on how your body is reacting to it. It is your best compass and the best way of finding out how much raw food is right for you. Keep things as natural as possible. Even if you do not go for 100% raw food, ensure that you still make healthy choices. Organic food items AND NON-GMO will work well.
Don’t be so hard on yourself when it comes to making this decision. Keep in mind that you should always listen to your body. There are no fixed rules except nurturing and nourishment. Do what is best for you and the benefits are going to follow.
Thanks for stopping by and please feel free to share this!!
Here’s to YOUR Health and an amazing day!!
