30 Days of Photos

It’s a challenge and an experiment.

And I would love your help!!

We ALL See & Perceive Differently!!

For me, Photography is not just a means to an end; it can be a transformative storytelling tool with the power to heal, inspire and awaken.

The inspiration for my art comes from exploring and seeing the world thru the lens with a different perspective – whether it’s my Photography or  Life.

It’s a challenge for me – I am an old school photographer – I learned in film and yes even went to school to study it.  I did work a bit in the field as the Assistant Photographer at the Banff Center, and I  did 2 shows – hand coloured black and white Fine Art Photography.

I put my camera down to raise my kids but mostly as I resisted digital and…..here’s the biggie – never felt good enough!

Over time, ok years, that changed.

I created a  blog a few years back where I created healthy recipes so I needed to photograph the end results and through that learned some real basics, in digital yet in the back of my mind I kept saying one day I will do more art.

Well, I have been what I call ‘deep diving’ – another name for clearing or Dark Night of the Soul or Ego as I say and there is no more one day.

That is not what living is about ………for me anyways any longer!

So, I dived into learning Photoshop this past November and I am actually liking it now that I know some basics.

But, my mind has created all kinds of images and I need / want to learn how to produce them so I can create and share them.

The challenge is for me to learn and step up.

Now here is where you could possibly help or come in.

I am and have committed to creating a photo a day over the next 30 days so my skills grow and improve.

I am excited!!

People have said to me that I create emotive images / art.

When I post my images I am not going to say anything.

I would love it if you the observer just observed – take a breath, let go of anything and just be in the moment and be present with the new image.

Then check in with self, did the image evoke any feelings, if so what and where in the body.

Did you like something or not?

If so, either way – why or why not?

The next day I will follow up with my message or why I created the image – just to share.

It’s not about being right or wrong or agreeing with me / my perspective (ok even disagreeing :))

it’s about what you feel and where and if you have any judgments and why?

It’s just to bring awareness to your moment.

My tag line is Photography meets Consciousness.

And for me to really put myself out there – I have been hiding this aspect of me for way too long!!

See, the mind has questions, judgments, programs that run automatically, yet the heart is where answers are – most of us aren’t in our hearts enough.

For me to create art – I am creating from my heart, as I have learned to get out of my head more and I want to share my creations.

So please feel free to partake, leave a comment if desired, share with others if you like and any and all will be veery greatly appreciated!!

I will be posting here on my blog and also in my new Facebook page!!

With much Gratitude and Love

Jodi

PS – This starts May 1st!!
