Kale Chips

Great alternative to chips!! Easy and quick to make.

1 – 2 bunches of kale

Take the leaves off the stems and put into a bowl.

Here is where you can get creative.

Add

– couple tablespoons olive oil and a few dashes celtic sea salt

or

Instead of  salt or along with it you can add cayenne, garlic, onion or chili powder

or

– couple tablespoons Pesto

or

– couple tablespoons Pesto with some Nutritional Yeast

Mix together with the kale until well coated.

Spread out on dehydrator tray and dehydrate about 4 – 6 hours depending on how crispy you like it.

If you don’t have a dehydrator, you can bake them in the oven, but I recommend using the lowest temperature possible.

If it is above 115 degrees in the oven, chances are it won’t be raw then, but still healthier than chips!!

Enjoy!!

  1. Hi Jodi – My daughter made these for us last month. They are not my cuppa tea but what’s even more shocking was when my husband tried them and he doesn’t do vegan…. he “loved” them. Our daughter did what you did and tossed them in olive oil with salt and baked them in 200 degree Celcius oven until they were crisped up. Maybe they are an acquired taste lol
