What the heck is Rejuvelac??

Rejuvelac is fermented, energy rich drink. It’s a great aid for digestion and elimination due to the fermentation process.
It is a great source for Vitamins B, C & E, amino acids, enzymes and helps improve bowel flora.

Rejuvelac helps to replace the enzymes that cooked food destroys. That is why you can either have a few drinks of it each day or incorporate it into raw soups etc. It is easily digestible and very healthy. I have only been adding it for a couple of weeks, but have noticed a big difference.
You can either use wheat berries or cabbage. I much prefer the cabbage, I don’t know why but it seems that is what my body wants right now, so I am following it!

Rejuvelac

-31/2 cups pure water
-6 cups coarsely chopped cabbage

Add water and cabbage to blender ( you will have to do this in 2 – 3 amounts as it won’t all fit in). Blend at low speed for 30 seconds then high speed for another 30 seconds. Pour into a clean mason jar even sterile is good as you don’t want any bad bacteria, as you can see here, I used a BIG jar. Lightly cover with a cloth and let stand at room temperature for three days.

Strain off the cabbage and pour into a container and put into the fridge. You can either then compost the cabbage or p our more water on it and cover and let stand at room temperature and it should be ready in one day instead of three.
This time discard or compost the cabbage.
It will keep for one week in the fridge.
You can drink 1/2 cup before meals or replace water in raw recipes with the rejuvelac.
You will feel the difference.
