Swiss Chard Salad

I don’t know about you, but I am not craving a lot of salads these days when it’s pretty cold and damp!? ┬áThis is kind of the best of both, still getting greens, some raw and some warming food. ┬áThis can be a meal in itself or as a side dish.

-1 cup brown rice (or any kind you like)

-2 – 3 oz cold pressed olive oil

– 2 oz Braggs (or Tamari or even Soya Sauce but use less of it)

– juice of 1/2 lemon

– 2 garlic cloves

Mix all up together in a bowl


-1 head chopped swiss chard

-1/4 cup chopped parsley

chopped cilantro (optional)

-1 red pepper chopped

Mix in all together.

Sometimes I will add in chili peppers to give it some spice and then chopped avocado as well.
