Cabbage Salad

It’s good to get some cabbage in your diet and can be easily eaten in colder months. There are two different dressings to choose from and I even mixed them together which was really good!!  This is quick and easy.

– 1/2 head cabbage

– 2 green onions sliced

Dressing 1

– 4 oz cold pressed olive oil

-1 oz balsamic vinegar (not raw)

-2 tbsp honey

-1 garlic clove

celtic sea salt to taste

or

Dressing 2

-1/2 lemon

-1/2 lime

-1 orange

-4 oz cold pressed olive oil

-1 garlic clove

-piece of ginger approx 1 inch

-celtic sea salt  to taste

Mix together all ingredients from either one, mix in with the cabbage and green onions.

Add black sesame seeds and slivered almonds to your liking.

Cabbage Salad


Cabbage is very good for us, and we are used to coleslaw. This is just a variety with a little zest to have something different.

This can be used as an appetizer, main dish or good for lunches.

Cabbage Salad

1/2 head of cabbage finely chopped or shredded

ends of 3 green onions finely sliced

1 tbsp black sesame seeds (more or less depending on your liking)

almonds cut up or sliced

Dressing

4 oz cold pressed olive oil

1/12 oz balsamic vinegar (this is not raw and I try not to use vinegar, but sometimes you just have to!!)

2 tbsp honey

1 clove garlic

a pinch of sea salt

Mix up the dressing and toss with cabbage, green onions, sesame seeds and almonds.
