The Visionary Artist

Hi I’m Jodi….

a Canadian living in Mexico. I came down for a two week house sit in 2016 and low and behold, it is now my home.

My art blends ICM and black-and-white photography to explore the spaces between reality and intuition.
I paint with my camera to reveal the energy that lives beyond the physical.
Through my black-and-white work, I strip the world down to its purest essence—form, contrast, and truth.

My relationship with photography began at eleven, with a 110 camera that felt so fun in the hands.  I didn’t understand it then, but I was drawn to the feeling of capturing something seen & unseen, something whispered.

Over the next many years, life carried me into a long journey of inner work—exploring consciousness, identity, and the illusions that shape our sense of self. I thought I was broken and needed healing… but really, I was remembering.

Remembering that nothing was ever wrong with me.
Remembering that reality responds to who I believe I am.
Remembering who TF I was.

When I returned to photography, it became an extension of that inner truth.
ICM lets me express the subtle movement of emotion and energy and break all the rules.
Black and white strips everything back to essence—shadow, form, clarity.

And soon, another collection will be revealed outside of both ICM and black and white.

My work—art, books, programs—may take different shapes, but the message is the same:

We are not here to obey the illusion.
We are here to see through it… and create beyond it.

Helping people remember who they are, so life gets simpler, richer, and more alive.
And my art is simply the visual expression of the same truth.

We were made to create experiences we love, these are just 2 of some of my favorite things to do, otherwise you will find me walking the beaches, hiking in nature with my dogs, enjoying the Mexican markets, grea,t expanded conversations with good food and friends and seeing as many sunsets as possible.

Thank you for being here.
