Neil Young bans Starbucks!!

My blog really isn’t about all the crap that is in our foods, but it is good to know and be aware – we as consumers and eaters I believe do have that right and sometimes it takes big names to stand up and say NO More!!

I could go on…..but you probably get the idea and I hope the message.

WE each do and can make a difference – the best way is by learning, being aware AND choosing something different!!

Have been travelling and the rest stops / pit stops are full of junk / processed foods – another good thing about Purium is it’s easy to travel with and because the body is being fed (like I always say difference between eating and feeding the body) we eat less and brought our own healthy foods so being able to stop in the rest areas and enjoy some nature – life can be easy and beautiful!!

Take care of your body, health and create a beautiful day!!

Old Kitchen Things

Old Ways

How often do we keep doing the same things yet we no we aren’t getting the results we need or want to in any areas of our lives?

WE have so many modern day conveniences in our kitchen compared to the olden days to make our lives easier yet if you stop and think about it, it was pretty basic and simple back then – food was food.  It grew in a garden or  from a farm for the most part.

Eating healthy was easy!

Obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol, GMO’s, additives, perservatives, hydrogenized, enrichment etc just didn’t exist like it does now.

When did eating and our food supply get so complicated, confusing and distorted?

I encourage you to add in your way of eating today – something that is pretty basic or real or natural and maybe, just maybe let go of something that you know isn’t real, healthy or allowing you and your body to be the best you that you can be.

Sometimes the little things done consistently can create big changes over time or allows up to continually build on so that huge shifts can occur.

It could be drinking more water, water instead of coffee or pop, taking your lunch instead of grabbing fast food, preparing healthy snacks instead of fast grab coffee shop snacks, it could be eating salad instead of fries, eating more raw foods instead of cooked, could be 1 min in front of the mirror saying how great you are instead of focusing on something negative about yourself…………..for a few examples.

Can you imagine – something a little bit each day where in a year you, your health, your body could be??

Amazing possibilities isn’t it??

Exciting isn’t it??

It can be done – one step, one day at a day – that is the power of NOW!!

Healthy Eating Made Easy

I will admit – I put my head in the same for quite awhile as life is busy and there is so much information out there on what to eat, not eat, what’s really healthy or natural and so on that it can be overwhelming – or so I thought.  Now GMO’s too? Seriously?

GMO’s have been around for about 30 years – so it’s nothing new BUT we do need to educate ourselves and if you take the time and watch the 17 minute trailer you will know why!

We are on a mission to educate and share – eating natural, real whole foods , healthy eating should be easy – we should  NOT be science experiments especially our kids – so I highly urge you to at least watch the trailer and decide for yourself!

A Moment in my Life

Good Day

Well I am a little behind in getting this out – busy but fun weekend and my computer crashed – not good timing but really when is it??!!

Yes mercury is retrograding and I am feeling the effects of it lol

Just wanted to share a few moments in my life with you!

Friday was busy with my daughter getting ready for Prom – my son graduated two years ago and I remember it being much simpler – ahhh the difference between boys and girls.  Nails, hair, getting car all cleaned for playing taxi, flowers, picking up, dropping off and lots of excitement and giggles.

Walking on Water……

Sunday was another busy but fun day – started of at the Vancouver Veg Expo and I highly recommend attending one in your area if there is one.  Lots of cool products, samples and people!!

This is Adam Hart – he wrote a book the Power of Food and is speaking on stage at the Vancouver Veg Expo

People  are wanting to eat healthy and be healthy and our world is demanding more of it.  I found alot of information on GMO’s – Jeff Smith was there who is also one the guest speakers at Purium this August, and companies making that part of their products.  Organic, clean, real and raw – these products are nutrient dense and I found many to compliment my way of eating and the Purium products – so it was very cool!!

Then I finished off the day with some friends hanging out on the Drive – (otherwise known as Commercial Drive in Vancouver) experiencing Italian Days – lots of people, food, music and not just Italians!!
